Bainbridge Island, WA – January 7, 2025 – Accurant International, through its subsidiary FlexEnergi, has acquired FlexCharging. Accurant International is a leader in energy and climate-tech investments. This acquisition by Accurant, who has been a major investor in FlexCharging since 2022, underscores Accurant's confidence in FlexCharging’s innovative solutions to address the growing demands of EV adoption and their impact on the electrical grid.
FlexEnergi, a subsidiary of Accurant focusing on grid-aware demand response and virtual power plant technologies, will incorporate FlexCharging’s technology into its platform, continue to support its current customers, and will expand FlexCharging’s offerings.
FlexCharging has revolutionized EV charge management with its over-the-air technology that allows utilities and drivers to optimize EV charging based on grid congestion, renewable energy availability and electricity pricing. By reducing peak demand and integrating EVs as grid assets, FlexCharging empowers utilities to manage large-scale EV adoption while minimizing grid disruptions. Its solutions cover more than 80 EV models, serve users on three continents, and continue to evolve through cutting-edge development and numerous patents.
